The Blackwater Valley Opera Festival is delighted to partner with many talented local chefs and businesses whose food is locally sourced, prepared with loving care and served with the grace of traditional Irish hospitality.
All dining, formal or informal, must be booked no less than 3 days in advance of the relevant performance. Wines can be ordered up to 24 hours in advance.
On Saturday 30th May many lunchtime venues will be open on Main Street, Lismore, with cafes and restaurants galore to choose from.

12 noon lunch after the ‘Opera Arias’ recital will be at the Compassionate Kitchen which is located directly across the road from Villierstown Church so it couldn’t be more convenient.
All of Compassionate Kitchen's dishes are made using the freshest natural ingredients and are made in house. Ross Bennett uses 100% natural ingredients in his dishes and most of his dishes are gluten free & his vegetarian dishes are vegan friendly.

During the Double Bill lunchtime interval for the best pizzas and ice-cream north of Italy, Volcano Pizza & Baldwin Ice Creams will be providing their delicious fare.

Lunch at Barrons Bakery & Coffee House, Cappoquin – Sunday 31st May
Barrons Bakery and Coffee House will provide lunch for Blackwater Valley Opera Festival patrons again this year at 1pm on Sunday 31st of May. Barrons Bakery and Coffee house is situated in the town of Cappoquin which is on the river Blackwater and less than 5 minute’s drive from Lismore.
The Bakery has been producing real bread in scotch brick ovens since 1887 and the adjoining coffee shop was established in 1981.
The coffee shop serves freshly prepared breakfasts, savoury snacks, lunches and desserts as well as a great selection of quality teas and Arabica coffees. Everything is made fresh on the premises each morning using locally sourced and seasonal ingredients.
An array of beautiful confectionery, Barrons handmade breads and of course the famous Waterford Blaa are all sold on the premises.
A separate Mezzanine is available upstairs in the coffee house for groups for private dining.

Lunch at Salterbridge House following Recital - Monday 1st June
